MDSA 3000, 4000

Intended use:

MDSA-3000 (4000) is designed for high-speed mechanical cleaning of internal tubing surfaces from asphaltene-paraffin and paraffin-hydrate deposits on wells that require cleaning to be done at a depth of more than 2,000 m.

MDSA-3000 (4000) can be used for geophysical logging with the help of a self-contained logging tool.

MDSA-3000 (4000) can be operated either in manual (semi-automatic) or in automatic mode.

Features:

  1. МDSA-3000/4000 complements МDSA “Suleimanov Winch” and enables the Customer to equip the entire well stock with the most suitable dewaxing mechanisms produced by Debit-E LLC.
  2. Special automation settings and design solutions allow the MDSA-3000/4000 to show stable performance both on wells equipped with an ESP and on flowing, periodic and gas lift wells
  3. МDSA-3000/4000 has a very wide range of controlled parameters and settings, which allows the Customer to improve the cleaning process and achieve maximum economic effect.
  4. MSDA-3000/4000 is firstly intended for automation of the process of mechanical tubing cleaning from asphaltene, resin and paraffin deposits with the trouble interval of more than 2,000 m.
  5. MDSA-3000/4000 makes it possible for the Customer’s specialists to conduct a controllable dewaxing process with high speed in semi-automatic and manual modes.
  6. MDSA-3000 allows for both forced and free lowering of scrapers.
  7. MDSA-3000/4000 system can be equipped with logging tools (Read more)

System for monitoring and control via the Internet

All MDSA winches are designed to be connected to the Customer’s telemetry system and to Debit-E Express Telemetry system via a free RS-485 port over MODBUS RTU.

Express Telemetry system by Debit-E:

— Allows for monitoring the winch operation in near real-time mode;

– Allows for viewing summary information about all connected winches (status, depth, power, speed, communication quality etc.) on 1 page;

— Allows for obtaining winch operation graphs for an arbitrary time interval;

— Allows for sending text messages about the winch operation process to specified telephone numbers;

— Allows for remote MDSA control: lifting and locking in the lubricator before the service team arrives, unscheduled startup of a cleaning cycle, lifting from error state, etc.

— Allows for monitoring and control from any device connected to the Internet (computers, tablets, or smartphones) without installing additional software;

— Allows for remote changing of setpoints;

— Allows for differentiating access rights in the Personal Account;

— Allows for connecting non-standard functions (operator presence control, text message about cabinet opening, sensor polling, and other telemetry data transmission, etc.).

Service maintenances

Debit-E LLC performs the following activities with the support from service teams:

– Conducting pilot field testing of MDSA sets.

– Supervision of MDSA installation and commissioning directly at the Customer’s wells.

– Qualified training of the Customer’s maintenance personnel on safe methods of equipment handling during installation/start-up operations.

– Single maintenance/restoration of the Customer’s MDSA stock serviceability.

– Performing monthly/quarterly/annual maintenance.

– Full service maintenance of the Customer’s MDSA stock directly in the field, including during renting/leasing of MDSA sets.

Geophysical logging

A full-fledged well logging is rather a long and costly activity. However, besides full-fledged logging, Debit-E LLC offers its Customers to use MDSA-3000/4000 equipped with a logging tool to monitor well parameters for a long period of time in order to prevent negative changes in a timely manner.

MDSA-3000/4000 was designed as a system that combines well cleaning from paraffin and monitoring its condition.

Operating process of MDSA-3000/4000 with logging tool

A wireline self-contained device (may be combined with a scraper or not) is lowered into the wellbore on a wireline for a specified period of time. When the tool is lifted out of the wellbore to the lubricator, it will automatically transmit all collected data into the telemetry system without the need to remove the scraper from the lubricator. After that the tool is retained in the warm lubricator, where it is cleaned of paraffin, and then a new trip-in-hole cycle is started in automatic mode.

Geophysical data monitoring

With the telemetry system in place, all the accumulated information is transmitted to the display to process engineers and/or geologists shortly after the tool has been lifted into the lubricator to analyze the current well condition. If certain limit parameters are set, the system can send warnings if parameters are outside certain limits, thus ultimately preventing negative changes in the well in a timely manner.
